Rusty SD Grom High Performance Grom Surfboard

The SD is the ideal go-to shortboard for Southern California. Designed to perform well in softer beachbreaks to hollow reef slabs.

The rails of the SD are foiled with a low apex and a crowned deck helps maximize the volume. The bottom of the SD has a deep single concave with a very subtle vee out the tail that helps generate speed through the flats.

Smooth operator

My son, Clint, named it the SD. Tweaked it a little. Added a bit of rocker. For the last 5 years it has been one of our most popular designs.

Tunnel hunter

Surfed By Dane Reynolds during Stab in the dark video. Puffed up the Yes Thanks, a little. Moved the thickness flow, balance point, a little forward. Fairly deep single that zeroed out under the rear fin and finished with a slight vee in the tail. Smooth curve that accelerated towards the tail.
